Default Accord 1996 : Grinding noise

Hi,

Recently I can hear a grinding noise that seems to come from the left wfront wheel when I turn right at speed above 30kmh. Even when I slightly turn right the noise appear.
On highway, I think it make some noise too but it is less noisy.

Is it the wheel bearing ??

Thanks for your help .

Take the wheel off and check to see if the metal backing plate is rubbing or close the brake rotor. If so, bend it away from it.

Hi,

I just check that and the noise is still there.
I even check the boot of the left side , , it seems to be fine , it is still in shape.

Is it possible the CV is bad ?

Thanks

It could be. Normally the cv boot tears and over time the grease will leak out and the joint goes bad from metal on metal contact however even if the boots aren't torn over time the grease stops doing its job and the joint will still go bad. Normally you hear a thunk instead of a grinding tho.

You might wanna take a look at the brake pads and rotors.

I am going to check again the CV boot of both side and check carefully if they are torn.

As for the rotor and pad, they are 1 year old . Is it possible that the caliper piston is bad and the pad si too close to the rotor ?

You will see when you look at it. Also its possible a small rock got wedged in between the pad and rotor.
