Default about the reverse lights

ok so im trying to find out why my reverse lights are not working

i changed the bulb and even checked the sockets which are fine

does anyone have any suggestions?

What year is your car? Auto or manual? Have you checked the fuses?

like he said auto/manual. if manual check the plug on top of the tranny.not sure where the auto plug is . that might be it ,

to answer this question, my car is a 1994 honda accord, and my car is manual.

wait i dont get it, what is the tranny? not sure what the auto plug is, but ill ask my friend about that.

also im so sorry for being so uneducated about cars . im learning about them little by little so please bare with my lack of knowledge

you should check the fuse box to the left of your clutch....that should actualy be where you go first always btw.....but yeaaa...check that out dude..

Find the reverse switch. Its bolted on top of the trans by the starter. Unplug the two wires that come out of the switch. Touch the two wires together. (on the harness). Turn the key to the "on" position. If the lights come on, you have a bad switch. If they dont, you have a popped fuse or a cut wire. Good luck!
