Default how high to rev f22b1

i am using crome to make me a base map for my f22 vtec bone stock. I have it running well up to 6000rpms. what can i push it to before the rod goes out the block i was thinking 7000. can i say torque monster, cant wait to squeeze this B*tch witha 75 shot

You'll float the valves before the rod goes through the block.

You'll float the valves well before 7000 on a stock motor. I would say about 6400 is about your max. A stock F22A4 (Non V-tec) bumps at 6200.

Or why not consider that torque on that motor falls on it's face around 5000rpm? No point in reving a stock F22 that high...

True. You really shouldn't rev it that high.

My turbo setyup I revved out to 7k and made power above 6K... retarded the cam a couple degrees...And yes, the valves will float much more than that... If you have rods coming out your block, it shouldnt happen at 7k. If it does, you had issues to start with.

Thanks i just had no idea where to rev it at. I just have to shift like crazey with the b16 tranny.but this engine kills my b16. I came across 3 of these engine cheap so i am going to spray the crap out of it to see what it will hold. just hate to blow it up due to over rev.
