98 accord slipping from drive to neutral
I have a 98 accord which has already been serviced for a recall where the key can be pulled out when the car is still in gear, now that doesn't happen anymore
however, yesterday the driver was at a stop sign resting her hand on the gear shift and the car shifted into neutral w/little hand pressure (no button pushed, etc)
Normal? or is this just another problem that year model has?

Re: 98 accord slipping from drive to neutral (keepnsane)
the gear shifter button does not need to be pressed to move the gear selecter from drive to neutral and vise versa. what you are describing is normal.
the button is only needed when shifting out of park, or from neutral to reverse, or reverse to park.
when i come to a long red light, or when i'm stuck in non-moving traffic, i routinely just bump mine into neutral.
