97 Accord SE no start/crank,only click
I have a 97 accord SE.
it has started perfectly and fast all up until today.
This morning I noticed that it started a little slower then usual before I went to work.
after work it barely started (very slow start), after I got home, I turned it on and it wouldn't start (very very slow crank).
I went to the dealer and got a new battery, I put it in and it wouldn't crank. I even tried to jump a new battery and still no crank.
I would only hear a click,
I could however hear the fuel pump priming.
what could it be? I'm going to look into it tomorrow.
All the lights and everything is working.

Verify battery is fully charged and not being drained down.
Verify battery terminals and battery wires are clean, tight, and undamaged.
Verify ground cables are installed, clean and tight.
Verify battery voltage to the starter on the big cable.
Verify battery voltage from the key to the starter on the small wire when the key is turned to III(START).
If you have full battery voltage, try jumping power from the large cable or battery to the small cable on the solenoid(bypassing key). If the starter still does not properly crank then it may be dying. Remove it and have it tested.

I got the starter tested at napa and I was told that it was bad,
got a reman napa starter.
the car starts however it's making a grinding noise right at the end of the "start".
the starter was flush against the block when I put it in.
what could be the issue?
EDIT: after cycling the starter 5 times the noise went away. I re torqued the bolts to 35lbs just to be safe. everything works ok now
