Default Speedometer needles acting up

Hello, I have a 2001 Honda Accord v6 Coupe Automatic.
I posted about a week ago trying to find out why my rpm gauge went out, turns out it was face plate disc thing that you can buy on Ebay and Amazon that the previous owner installed with an Epicenter module box thing that provided a blue color to the gauges looks pretty cool but I removed it all after seeing that the solder joint was ruined and I couldn't really fix it without buying another face plate on ebay but I like the stock gauge look anyways. So I removed the gauge needles, the postion was at a zero on all guages and then I removed the sticky face plates and then reinstalled the needles. When I went to put the speedometer back on the RPM gauge needle shot up to 4,000RPM and the Speedometer shot up to 40MPH when I had the car running/on postion 2 (on). After trying to figure it out and failing, I threw in an oddessy speedometer into my accord and the rpm/speed guages seem to be working fine and they are not jumping up to 4000RPM and 40MPH.

Is there anyway I can fix this speedometer or is it trashed?
Can I keep using the honda oddessy speedometer or will it cause me problems? (I had to modify it a bit so it would fit)
Can I go to a mechanic to put the proper milage on my speedometer? (it reads 220,000 on the Oddessy speedometer my Honda Accord actually has 170K)

You can reprogram mileage, but it's not a simple thing if you are not used to playing with EPROM programmers.

Regarding the Odyssey gauge cluster. As you mentioned, you had to modify it. It should work fine, a lot of things from the Odyssey work in the Accords.
