96 accord clutch sticking to floor?
I was driving and my clutch started to loose pressure and become easier to press down, then shortly after i lost my clutch completely. i push it in, and i can't even get the car into gear. its a 96 accord LX. i knew it had something to do with fluid loss, so i added some more fluid and the clutch still goes straight to the floor. what do i do?

The hydraulic system that operates your clutch has lost pressure, now you need to find out where it leaked.
Start at the clutch master cylinder and move downstream to the slave looking for leaks.
Once you find the leak replace the faulty part, bleed the system and your good.

I replaced the slave cylinder for $12. Bleed the fluid, and take this part out. The boot or seal may have gone bad. It fixed my problem. It's a tight fight, may need a 3rd hand to remove it/install it.

I experienced a very similar problem this morning. My clutch pedal is extremely loose and does not have any pressure when I push it down. I cannot get the car into gear.
Is there any literature on how to take care of this problem?
I have extremely limited resources. I am about 700 miles away from home/shop/friends with tow trucks.

I replaced both master on slave for 45 dollars. I had tis happen 2 months ago. Golden after that. If your master went out(or a way to tell) pull up your drivers side carpet, fluid will tend to leak under it if its the master

Re: 96 accord clutch sticking to floor?
find out where the leak is and replace part, visual is certainly easy on a hydrolic problem, then it is like bleeding breaks, or if all alone pump it as much as you can and keep your pedel depressed with something and go out and loosen your bleeder, tighten it, pump pedal, check level, and repeat until you get your pedal back. If you can't get it into gear with the car off then you have a transaxle issue. not clutch, engine off you should be able to shift into all gears.
the reservoirs under the hood are both full and there is no pressure at the pedal.
does this mean the problem is with the cylinders and there isn't a leak?
