cigarette lightger and radio dosent work
the other day a screw fell in the the cigg lighter socket it sparked and now my radio(sony) and cigg lighter dosent work. i checked all the fuses with a tester (kick panel and under the hood) ALL FUSES WORK FINE. i also tested the wires behind the radio and cigg lighter. the radio harness gets power but radio does not power on but it ejects the CD, even the fuse behind the radio (10a) is good. i checked the wires leading to the cigg lighter and those wires are NOT getting any power. i also checked the relays (12v mitsuba rc2201) located behind the radio, theres 2 of them. one of them clicks. the one on the left does not click the one on the right clicks... so i disconnected the one from the left and put it on the right and it also started to click when connected to the right. i tested the 4 prone plug that that the relays are connected to, the one on the left gets power to 2 of the 4 prones (NOT the one thats clicks) and the one on the right gets power to 1 of the 4 prones ( the one that clicks). im thinking maybe one of the wires burned out and the relay is not getting enough power to ingage. but i wanted to get some ideas before i go pulling new wires (hard work).

If you are 100% sure the fuses are good.....Check the relay?.....
Yes there is a relay on the 5th gens for the cig and radio.
However, I'm betting Muff is right, the fuse is blown....but who am I

i am pretty sure all the fuses are good, im not an ameture...
i also tested the relays they work too. i'm saying that i do not think the relay on the right is getting enough power to ingage. like i said the harness that the realy on the right has 4 prones, and only one of the 4 are getting power. unlike the one on the left 2 of the 4 prones are getting power. its new relays in there. i bought them from the dealer yesterday. cause i thought it was the relay too. TRUST ME IT'S NOT THE RELAY OR THE FUSES

Where are these "relays" you are testing located? The ONE I'm talking about is in the center of the dash...or so. Again from the diagram above the RED/WHT is hot all the time. The WHT/YEL will be hot with the key on. Measure the votlage on these two wires.
