'94 Accord cruise control does not engage
I recently purchased a '94 Accord LX 2.2L4, 5-spd sedan (built 9/93). A few days ago, the cruise control stopped working and I cannot figure out why.
I've checked the fuse and it tested good. Vacuum lines & wires going into the cruise control module under the hood look good. I was reading some other write-ups online and think it may be the brake light switch or the clutch interlock switch. I did my redneck testing and both appear to be working correctly (all three brake lights come on when the brake pedal is pushed & the car will not crank without the clutch being pushed in).
Anybody have the correct way to test the brake light switch & clutch interlock switch with a multimeter? Also, any other ideas of what may be the problem?
TIA,
Lurch

I have the same problem on 97 accord lx I think it may be my actuator, pretty sure that's the name for it, where the cable goes. Mines broke so cable is loose

I've got my hands on a manual that I'll use to troubleshoot & fix. I'll try to do a write-up since I haven't been able to find a step-by-step one online.

Be sure you test the proper switch on the clutch pedal....there are two. One for the cruise and one for the starter. Be sure the little "bumper/pad" is on the arm(s) that closes the switch....find any strange pieces of blue plastic on the floor mat under the pedals recently?

Re: '94 Accord cruise control does not engage
Well, turns out it was an easy fix. Crawled under the dash and the cruise control switch on the clutch was poking through the plate on the pedal....the bumper pad had fallen off. Did the easy fix of super-gluing a penny on the plate instead. If/when that fails, I'll weld something on there to permanently fix it.
