Default 93 Honda accord Code 14

Okay so I cleaned the IAcv and tightened the Fitv. Also the car runs really weak when the Cel is on. Is that normal? Do I just need a new iacv? Btw I know I believe I have a vacuum leak coz I hear a hissing sound when the car is running.

fix the leak first. if the code pops up again then replace the IACV.

Ok so I believe my car is in limp mode. I haven't fixed the leak yet but could a bad iacv really cause my car go limp mode?

with a vacuum leak poor performance is possible. fix the CEL first.

Yea I'm just thinking of it all and it's prolly not on limp mode actually. It's actually just a big vacuum leak. Coz I could seriously hear it. So that's probably why it stalls sometimes and idles really low. Alright I'll look for the leak tomorrow coz its night right now and yea.

Hey so I'm not sure if this is a vacuum leak. On the driver side under the hood I can hear something. Like its blowing air or something. Then when I turn off the car I can hear it slowly go away like a fan turning off kind.. Is that a vacuum leak or what? Just confused wether I have a leak or not

The only times I've heard of a car throwing a code 14 was when the iacv was bad. If you test it it should test bad. Test across the terminals it should be 8-15 ohms.

You can either pull one from a junkyard or get one off ebay if you don't have a lot of money.

To find the vacuum leak you can get a can of carb cleaner and spray it gently around the area you are hearing the leak at. You will notice the idle of the car change when you hit it.
