Default 92 coupe, resetting tcu to get auto tranny of limp mode?

Hey crew,
Hope I'm in the right place. My 92 accord coupe is acting too weird on me. I have to reset the TCU to get my tranny out of p mode. My D4 light comes on and is solid (not blinking). I have to down shift to 1 & 2. I do have R and D is very slow to pick up and can only go 45 mph. I park it and pull the 7.5 fuse from the engine bay, after 10 minutes, she fire up with out D4 being stuck & she is all good. As soon as I park and restart her, the D4 light stays on tranny locks up in limp mode.
Things I have done:
Pulled my TCU, looks quickie clean, no stains or discoloration.
Pulled both shift solenoids, cleaned them out & check both for proper function.
Changed tranny fluid, it was brown and smelly.
Did I miss something or do I need to scope into this issue more in depth?
Gratz!

K, I suspect everything. Its gotta be electrical, though I pulled the TCU and look shinny and new. I’m doing it this weekend just to get myself out of doubt.
As for the 30 day fluid swap, I was contemplating that thought. Should I use a conditioner or detergent before swapping final tranny fluid?
Anyone else open for alternative resolutions. I got a guy out in Maui I can call, hate to bother him. But I need him or anyone else to go to bat for me on this issue and nail it.
Gratz 2 all,

Thanx to those who gave their input, much appreciated. Went to the junk yard yesterday and pulled three TCU: all lx models, 91,92 and 93. Pop the lid off and seemed good to go.
I’m gonna swap out my old tcu & see what happens? I’m gonna to inspect the pins for being loose, rust and moisture.
As for my tranny fluid, I am going to swap it out in about 30 days. I’m gonna go with HG Z1. I recently check my wife tranny fluid in her 98 CRV, it look as good as the day I drop in, shinny cheery red, no burn smell. That was like 4 or 5 years ago.

Well! Swap the TCU, shifted smoother, but the solid D4 light went from solid to blinking light. My check engine light is throwing a code, long blink, then a short blink and then another long blink and finally it shuts off. The cb7 is still in limp mode.
I have three other TCU's as back up. As for the prize? Every day can X-mas if u want it to be.
The tranny did shift alot smother while it was out of limp mode.

K, D4 light was blinking the error codes & are follow as : 1,2,7 & 8. One short & fast blink, blank pause, then Two short & fast blinks, blank pause, then seven in arrow short & fast blinks, blank pause, following a final eight short & fast blinks. Then in repeats. Anyone know this codes of hand?

Thanx just got done looking them up. But ...? ...I’m assuming this are TCU (D4 light) error codes ant not cell light (check Engine light)?

1-Lock-up solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
2-Lock-up solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.

7-Shift Solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
8-Shift Solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.

So what does this mean? I have already taken both solenoids off and clean them out with carb cleaner and check both for clicking hooking a wire to the battery terminal. So what’s next, anyone?

Well? Spent the last two days, my entire weekend trying to make progress with no avail. I switch and clean the both shift solenoids, swap out all three TCU’s. I kept getting the same error codes; 1,2,7 & 8. The tranny did shift smother, and I believe it was shifting at higher RPM’s.
I would like to move on and check other sensors, but I’m stuck on the solenoids. I’m getting ready to measure the solenoid's & TCU resistance using an Ohmmeter.
Anyone else having or had the same issue as I am?

Sorry, didnt mean to leave u hanging. I nailed it! It was the connection, the snap/click sound was not right, compared to junk yard snap/click. Took some electrial cleaner and electrical lube (preventive rust), on both male and female connections on new TCU. Done deal!
New TCU, is not giving out any error codes and is allowing me to get out of limp mode. Many thanx 2 those whom contributed

that may be the solenoids or an open or shorted wiring harness try to check for poor connections
