I have just replaced the transmisson control module with a rebuilt TCM from Av Pro. The transmission appears to be shifting fine BUt the D4 light comes on at start of engine along with the check engine light( this light is nomal at start). Both lights go off simutaneously after a few seconds. Before I had any tranny control problems the D4 light never came on unless I was in this shift position. I exposed the blue test clip in the right front quarter panel and jumped it out. When the jumper is on the check engine light comes on at start up BUT the D4 light is OFF. There are NO flashing lights on the dash! Shifting is good and I can't seem to find any codes! Trannyman..if you're out there..talk to me Thanks Bob my original post BEFORE the replacement follows.

1992 Accord 70,000 miles tranny indicator light on dash will show Park AND Drive 4 at startup. shifting to drive 4 will shut off park light BUT car will attempt to drive off in overdrive. I must SHIFT to 1st manually BUT drive 4 AND drive1 lights will illuminate and car will begin in 1st. I must then Manually shift gears for a few minutes until drive 4 light goes out and only 1 gear indicator light is on. This usually takes a few min after warmup. Tran ny fluid may be original but very clean. I will replace fluid w/Honda fluid and install a new filter. Is this a solenoid problem?? There are 4 solenoids bolted to the side of the tranny. Please Help. thanks Bob
