Default 91 Accord Transmission Problem

I start the car and put it in reverse and its fine, but when I put it in drive and start to move it starts to run fine for a couple inches then starts slipping and the "s" light blinks until i turn the car off again. I was hoping it might just be the solenoid or the trans computer but something tells me the trans is done. Any input is appreciated

Thank you, I checked the codes and got code 1, 2 & 8. Im guessing that my shift solenoid needs cleaning? Going to go clean it and report back

Keep in mind, if you looked over that link, that some 90-91 TCUs had bad capacitors/resistors. Before you pull solenoids out, carefully remove the TCU and inspect its capacitors and resistors.

Did you check the resistance values of the solenoids coils? Check the connectors to them and your ground, should be on the front right corner on a metal bracket near the AT dipstick tube. Follow it directly from the negative battery cable.

Problem solved, it ended up being the sift solenoid. Replaced it andif shifts smoother than it did before. Thank you for your time and help!
