I have an 91 Accord. At speeds above 55mph, the steering wheel shutters side to side about 3/4". The car drives fine but this is kind of a nusance. It is only noticalble at higher speeds. Could it be the rotors have some "wobble" in them?

I could be broken belts in the tires or a unbalanced tire, maybe balljoints the only way it would be the rotors if it shudders when you hit the brakes check the tires first if any of the have a bubble then a belt in the tire is broken you might want check and see if you lug nuts are tight too

The tires are in very good condidtion, and have lots of tread left. Whats odd is that it is really only noticable at higher speeds. If something was out of balance wouldnet it do it all the time? how can I check the ball-joints?

My guess would be rotors are warped or you need an alignment.
