Default 90 F22A6 Misfire when warm

I get a slight misfire after the engine warms up. Appears to run fine and start fine cold. The temp gauge moves to the warm position and the thermostat opens fully. It is most noticeable when I press slightly on the accelerator. Two times the engine has lost significant power and resumed normal operation when I downshifted to raise the RPM. Anyone had this issue? Where could I start checking. 180K miles. Plugs, wires, new distributor(all needed, the distributor shaft had significant wobble - thought this was the issue). The problem didn't go away. Also, cleaned and tightened the FITV(idles up well on cold but now it drops and cycles RPMs up and down until hot. j

Update: Took off the TB and intake manifold - 4 hours, because I didn't want to put shavings and carbon into the intake. Cleaned IAC and FITV. IAC screen was completely plugged (all idle problems link back to this cause.) Cleaned clogged EGR ports in the manifold(three ports were plugged. Replaced some bad coolant hoses. Replace fuel injector gaskets since the o-rings fell apart when I took them off the fuel rail. That was a good thing to find out about. Glad I pulled of the manifold. New gasket for the intake and plenum. Now it idles fine and no more misfire during acceleration.

I'll have to investigate the fault code that comes up when is cruise at about 50MPH.

Looks like the FAQ has an article: SYMPTOM
The car "quivers" under acceleration when the
EGR valve first opens. This is more noticeable
on the automatics. Note that the car has to be hot
and above 1800 RPM for the EGR to operate.
The car might not have any driveablilty symptoms,
but will fail an EGR functionality test or
NOx test. In some cases these is also a noticeable
noise like a spark knock or connecting rod
bearing noise during the time of EGR valve activation.
On OBD-II equipped cars a P0401 (Low EGR
Flow) is often stored, too.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Some, or all of the 4 EGR runners in the intake
manifold clog up. The rough running apparently
comes from some ports clogging and all the exhaust
gas being fed to the working ports and
causing them to have too much exhaust and consequentially
cause them to misfire. If all the
EGR ports clog, the car will not have any driveability
symptoms but will fail an EGR functionality
or NOx test

What are you bumping this for, didn't you fix your problem?

Did you find out what the DTC was? (fault code/CEL/MIL)

I did fix the problem as described. However, when I just did the edit/update the info did not get bumped to the top of the list. FYI only. It's in the archives now. Have a great Christmas.
