89 Accord Trans Level and Vacuum Diagrams?
I couldn't find a section for pre-90 Accords so I'm asking here.
How do you check the auto trans fluid level on these things? Does anyone have a vacuum diagram? I can't figure out where the cruise control vacuum line hooks up and I'm pretty sure I have a vacuum leak or two.
Please help, I'm getting kicked out of my house today and I need to have this car finished.
Thanks.

There's a transmission oil level gauge on the front lower side of the transmission (color is yellow I think, but not 100% sure).

Re: 89 Accord Trans Level and Vacuum Diagrams?
I found it, and it looks full when the car is shut off. i haven't checked it while running yet cause the damn battery was dead. They should be checked idling in park like every other car right?
I just got the motor in the car and I'd never driven it before, I have to let off the gas to get the car to shift gears. Is there any vacuum modulator on the trans? Is there anything else I can check for?

Honda has a different procedure for checking the transmission fluid level: start engine and let it warm up, then stop engine and then check fluid level.
It may sound a bit crazy but for a hesitating transmission the first thing we do is change the transmission oil: this improves shifting and makes the tranny act less jerky.

Can I use Mercon 5 in it? I had bought a bunch to flush the fluid in my 06 Mustang, but since the wife kicked me out I'd like to just use it myself.
