87 Accord LXi R & R Fuel Pump
After sitting since late spring, my 87 Accord LXi is not getting any fuel to the fuel injectors. I am getting 3 clicks from the fuel injection main relay under my dash so I do not believe it is a bad relay. I do not hear a hum or buzz from the fuel pump and suspect the fuel pump is bad.
Can I replace the fuel pump without dropping the fuel tank?
I have found to oval plates under the back of the back seat, is either one of these an access point for the fuel tank and the fuel pump.

I love the little 3rd gen's
Yes the panel on the drivers side in the trunk is where you can get to and replace the fuel pump without dropping the tank. My guess is that because of sitting for so long the pump has "gummed" up just sitting in old gas.
You can pull that cover and get to the wires. You can then turn the key to on/pos II and test to see if you are getting voltage to the pump. Note there will only be voltage for a few seconds once the key is first turned to on/pos II.
Don't let the hatters get you down, never did like how this site treats the 3rd gen Accord's....they really don't "fit" anywhere in this site very well. So if I had an 89 Accord (which I do), where would I post a question if I had one?
