hey guys my friend has got a 86 honda accord and it is carburated...... the problem is after the car warms up (about 7 or 8 min.) it will no longer idle.... also if you are driving down the road and go to make a turn... if it slows up any it will die.....it runs great as long as you got your foot on the gas...... im not use to working on carb motors and this has got me stumped. ... i thought coil and replace it but no luck.... this damn thing has like 30 vac hoses... i checked them too.... any ideas? thanks alot

It could be one of many things that can cause idle issues. Choke pull down, thermovalve A, thermovalve B, idle set screw turned out too far, floats taking on fuel, base plate gasket, etc., etc.

I can't even start to help you on this type of issue over a forum.

Would need to see car in order to properly diagnose and repair.

Sorry, just too many possible causes. Only thing I could suggest, would be take it to repair facility and have them check it.

Unless you can get it to KC, MO and then I'd take a look at it for you...

hey you got a good point there..... they are just too many things could be wrong with the thing..... i just was hoping for something simple.... the carb is a real pain in the ***.... i know my fuel inj. stuff.... thanks anyway
