6th gen f23a1 to f20b swap thread
Ok I started on the swap yesterday. I got the F20B in. Now the pain in the *** starts. wiring no more BS'n. I plan to somewhat document the swap. At least with a few photos. So maybe this will encourage more 6th gen swaps to the F20B. I will be doing this by myself so my only issues will be with the wiring and fighting the CEL. So wish me luck.
by the way i had the f23a1 out 4 hours and switched all the obvious stuff and dropped the F20B in pics coming

any clue on this im lost ???
also im tryin to run f20b ecu Will i need to add knock sensor or not??
OK i was wrong i forgot the sensor on the front of my new intake. it is just like the one on the back of my stock intake and its three wires.
And honestly this swap was fairly simple everything pluged in except the dizzy.and all the colors matched up from harness to harness. Also i compared the pins at the ecu and they are the same color for color except stock harness has one extra blue/blk wire and the f20b harness has one extra red/blue on pin B16 that controls the IAB,s
Now the car will run on the stock ecu but when i put the f20b ecu in the fuel pump will not come on. Any clue as to what i can do to get fuel pump on with F20b ecu. and it does have fire with F20b ecu just no fuel ??????? Thanks

Loving the swap dude!!! How bad was the wiring? Let me know how it performs when it's all done because I'm thinking about swapping an F20 into my CD5 in the future

The wiring was simple on my car or so i say i dont have it right yet BC im not running the f20b ecu yet. Check out nusdogg i think he has a 5th gen with f20b. and THANKS i am bout to go crazy tryin to figure out this fuel pump issues but it felt good to hear that baby fire up and idle with the stock ecu.

Re: 6th gen f23a1 to f20b swap thread
Ok today i talked to someone who has been doing engine swaps since 1997 he say no fuel pump sounds like a resistor n the ecu. So he told me to use a jumper wire to make fuel pump come and see if the car will run, So i did just that a the car will run with the f20b ecu but it will only rev to around 6200 rpm any way i drove it to let it warm up and then when i got on it NO VTEC. So now i know the VTEC is not kicking in and the fuel pump is not working unless i jump power to it. ANY IDEAS why it only revs to 6200 with PCB ECU and why vtec is not kicking in ?????

yes its on but i have not checked codes yet and i know the o2 sensor in not hooked up BC header is not yet hooked to the cat yet. And yes i am thinking the same thing bad ecu.

Good news i hope. jspecauto.com is sending me a new ECU but it for a automatic tiptronic. he said it would throw CEL because it would be looking for the auto tranny.
Will this possibly cause a rev limiter? Any thoughts on this?

if your still obd2b, your fuel pump isn't coming on because the Pin on the PCB ecu is different. You gotta swap the A15 pin (grn/blk) i believe to A14 position and that **** should start right up.
Using the Auto version of this ECU wont work either. Rev limiter at 5k, no vtec. I tried running a auto PCF ecu and that was my result.
My JDM H23A is running a PCB ecu and these are the steps i had to take.
Let me know how you make out. Oh, and you can get the IAB box from Honda P/N 36361-PT2-014 VACUUM TANK

DAMN CRX91SI I O U BIG!!!!!
Ok it was A15 but the wire was green/yellow. I tried it in A14 and it did nt work so i tried it in A16 and the fuel pump came on. So i drove around a few minutes to warm up and when i stoped and got down on her i could tell something was better and then when it hit 5500 RPM VTEC kicked in and i was through the gears and running 120 mph in no time. Damn i love it !
So the conclusion is i now have one bad *** 6th gen accord. This F20B is way more than i was expecting!!
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO HELPED ME THROUGH THE SWAP!!!!

OK i just hung up the phone with my local honda dealer that bracket is $110.77 i told him that was crazy and i was looking for a used one first. My wife might just have to drive the Z71 and i will gladly drive my new SIR-T Accord with Armstrong power steering. lol

There are a few people with a manual/power steering modified set-up.
Oh yeah! Note: I have heard that in some places finding a used 97-01 Prelude power steering bracket for much cheaper than the dealership isn't the easiest thing to do. It's probably the most popular F/H (F22B/H23 DOHC) swap bracket out there.

Re: 6th gen f23a1 to f20b swap thread
if your accords are anything like my CL, then driving without power steering is going to suck big time. I muscled it for about a week before i couldn't take it anymore. It's definitely not like driving a CRX or an Eg hatch with no P.S.
and $ 110....f*ck that
