Re: 2002 Accord O2 Sensor questions
Hi, I have the same issue on my 2001 Honda Accord ULEV.
Could someone tell if Bosch 13512 will work or not? And if I should prefer Denso 234-9014 over Bosch 13512
I am getting the Bosch in $150 and the Denso one is coming to $ 190
Thanks...

sup,
'02 Accord SE (F23A4) ULEV:
about 4 months ago I got check engine light to go off, DTC P1166 & P1167 were read by my scanner.
I have read the service manual and seem like the problem is really straight forward O2 sensor went bad.
I purchase Bosch 15733 Oxygen Sensor, which was described as "will fit your Honda accord 2002" by amazon website. well after installing sensor P1166 disappear but P1167 remain unfixed. I start reading posts which suggested to check the fuses & wiring. after hours of diagnose I didn't find any problems.
Bought another sensor which was suggested by one of the posts from Pep Boys this time and their parts guy said http://c2c.activant.com/ctoc/index.j...NCUlE6BlcJUHQf will work which is Bosch 13075. Well cable was to short but I manage to reach the connector and P1167 was gone for about 2 minutes and went back on!
Then finally I got to this forum and purchase Denso 234-9014 Air and Fuel Sensor was on sale for $167. I was really worried that may still not work for me, but it have been 4 days and no DTC errors and car passed inspection!
I don't write on forums but this save me about $300 dollars and because times are rough I felt like I must share my experience.
Two dealers quotes: First dealer $487.00 +tax, Second said it will cost me at least $500.
Replacing A/F sensor took me 2 minutes with resetting DTC codes.
good luck

Re: 2002 Accord O2 Sensor questions
2002 Honda Accord EX SULEV California Model
I just installed the Denso 234-9014 which is the OEM. My car ran a little rough for a couple of days and then it smoothed out after driving around for maybe 50 miles. I guess the computer had to recalibrate itself and get out of the default safety mode. One thing i would like to mention is that i used lucas fuel injector cleaner for five to seven tank fulls and i got the check engine light. The old o2 sensor looked white carbon fouled so i dont know if the lucas stuff did it but i will not take that chance again. I didnt even notice an improvement when i used it. Matter a fact it felt more sluggish. What gives? Anyhow my car is running xclent whith the new Amazon ordered correct sensor. It was the cheapest at 158$.
