Good title for a search, so here's a 4 Cylinder list:

HELMS Manual - very important.

Timing Belt
Balance Shaft Belt
Timing Belt Tensioner
Balance Shaft Belt Tensioner
Tensioner Adjuster Springs (maybe)
Cam Seal (in case current is leaking)
Balance Shaft Seals (in case current is leaking)
Water Pump
Timing Cover Seals (in case the others are mangled)
Balance Shaft Seal Retainer Mod (any dealer should know about this, not sure if required for '01)
Valve Cover Seal
Spark Plug Tube Seals/Gaskets
A/C Belt
Power Steering Belt
PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench or some kind of penetrant
HondaBond - 1 Tube
Honda Type 2 PreMixed Coolant - two to three gallons

Honda/Acura Crank Pulley holder:

Last but not least:

Tools, time, patience, place to work on said car.

Here's are two sites to look at if you plan to do this yourself:

I bought a kit on Ebay from a dealer that contained most of the parts listed above, probably saved a little $$ doing so..

Hope this helps

Hopefully cheaper than Richfield-Bloomington Honda..I think they wanted $900!

I'm guessing it cost maybe a max of $350 for parts, helms and fluids.

I had the time to do it, and another Honda if I needed something mid-project.

The tools I bought for the t-belt change can be used again and again, I didn't have a problem buying them.

All in all, a great confidence-builder for me - did it over a weekend and took the time to do it right - later in the year I was rebuilding a d-series tranny, converting to MPFI on my hatch, etc etc etc!

Go to Brooklyn Park Honda (I94 and Brooklyn BLVD) they will do it for $730(V6) and about $660 (I4). These guys are the cheapest honda dealer in the twin cities area. That includes water pump, drive belts, etc

I didn't replace the sping, but the tensioners cost me <$50.

Well worth replacing IMO.
