2001 accord ex maintenance required light?
Just wondering what this means? It just started flashing a week ago. The mileage is 61580. It flashes 10 times when started. Anyone have any useful info on this please? Also any reset tips. I've read about holding the trip reset while starting the car and holding it for about 10 seconds. Does that go for an 01 also? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's just a reminder that comes back every 7,500 miles (starts flashing at 6,000 miles I think, then stays on constantly at 7,500 miles).
To turn it off, as I remember... put the key in the ignition and turn it to the first click. Push in the trip reset button, then turn the key to the second position (but don't start it). Wait ten seconds.
If you still have the owner's manual, the exact instructions will be in there.

Close... You don't need to turn the key to "ACC" position. Just hold down the reset button, turn the key to "ON", but don't start the car. The light will flash and turn off about 15 seconds later. You may need to wait until the light comes on and stays on before you try to reset it.
The only thing I do every 7500 miles is rotate my tires. I just happen to use the main't req'd light to remind me. Everything I check every 3-4000 miles, when I change my oil...
