2000 Accord P1456 Code Questions
I got the code at auto zone today and have been doing some reading on it. It seems that the easiest possible fix is to tighten the gas cap. I did this and my wife is driving the car right now.
Will the check engine light go out on its own if this solves the problem.
If not, how do I reset the light. I saw one thing that said remove the #13 fuse for a minute and that will reset the light.
Also if the light resets, will it come right back on if there is no pressure in the tank.
Thanks

I reset the computer by pulling the #13 fuse on the Passenger side. I have been driving around all day without any problems. I hope it was just a loose gas cap.

P1456 is the code you'll get from a loose gas cap, but there's a handful of other (less likely) problems that can cause the same thing. They mostly amount to a gas tank that isn't airtight like it should be.
I think that code takes several 'driving cycles' before it sets itself, so if you still have a problem, the light might not come back for a couple days. Hopefully it was just the cap & it never comes back.
