2000 accord Lx auto shutting off radomly
Hi everyone,
The engine has been shutting off radomly on me, and it only happens while Im stopped at a light or stop sign. It has never shut off on my while I am in motion. When it shuts off , the engine sputters a bit and then it shuts down, usually takes a few minutes to get it started back up.
things i've replaced
1. Distributor Cap &Rotor
2. Coil
3. ICM
4. Spark plug wires
5.Ignition switch
6.Fuel pump
after replacing all these things the car still does it, it doesn't do it everytime i come to a stop but it'll only do it while im stopped.
anyone have any ideas? could spark plugs be to blame?

Re: 2000 accord Lx auto shutting off radomly
I predict your problem will be fixed.
DTC's are Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The main computer runs tests at various times. These tests are labled with titles called DTC's. P0740, P0135 etc. They can help in diagnostics because they are a specific test the ECM saw a problem with.
DTC's are indicated by a Check Engine Light.
