1999 Honda Accord 2.3l 4cyl Automatic Upgrades
Hey everyone so I have a 1999 Honda Accord with a new Automatic Trans and the original 2.3L 4cyl engine in it. I also just installed a performance exhaust system along with an Injen Cold air intake. I am wanting to get a chip for my car now but I don't want to get something that is going to be a scam. Long term I want to have a turbo in there and when my engine goes out Im probably going to switch it to a J model engine. But if anyone knows where or what I can get for my car chip or ECU wise please feel free to let me know.
p.s. what is it that the ECU upgrade actually does?

I would suggest you search and use the Accord FAQ at the top of the forum to better understand what it is you want out of your car.
Chips do nothing.
Your current PCM is not readily tunable.
Your car also has an AT which adds another set of problems in tuning.
Depending on which F23 engine is in your car it may be pointless to even look into 'tuning' or doing any performance mods.
The easiest thing would be to simple swap your engine/drivetrain to one from a similar year H22 Prelude with harness and PCM. This will give you the 190HP performance while maintaining driveability and simplify maintenance.
