Icon3 Need tech advice

OK i have a 2000 accord ex 2.3 ulev. The current engine burns oil like crazy and im not going to do a rebuild because i need a new engine asap and dont have the time to rebuild. So I have some questions, I have researching this modle and have found there isnt much of a diffrence between the f23a1 and the f23a. what I want to know is will the f23a1 bolt up to my ulev manule transmission, and i know I will need the pcm from the f23a1 car. the digrams show diffrent sensors in the ulev exhaust then none ulev and there are a few extra connectors for emmisions. now if I was to get an f23a1 engine with the pcm coudnt i drop that in install the pcm and be able to run the f23a1 off of the ulev engine harness with no problems. because the car will read the connectors that are non ulev so the extra connectors for the ulev can just be left alone. So any honda techs out there let me know what my options are for this kinda swap if any thanks.

Doing a rebuild isn't really all that hard. I've never found a Honda that built up lands that prevented pushing the pistons right out of the top. You wouldn't even need to remove the engine.

Going the other way:

F23A4 in non-ULEV car:

It seems as if you just need to use your old F23A4 exhaust manifold/O2 sensor if you don't want to deal with ECU and wiring changes.

I'm sorry, but I plain don't understand this. Is this a series of typos or am I thinking crazy?

Just saying that replacing the piston rings is pretty easy. Remove the pan, remove the head, push the pistons out and install new rings. I would be willing to bet the original cross hatching is still present in the cylinders. Replacing valve seals isn't hard either.

No hone huh? What criteria do you use to determine if honing/boring is needed?

If the cylinder bore has scratches that catch your fingernail or run the entire length of the bore. Or if the bore is tapered, it will need to be honed.

If there are no scratches you can feel, as stated above, I wouldn't hone. Also, if the cross hatching is sill fresh, its unlikely there is significant taper or out of round. This is from personal experience.
