I have a 1995Intermittent oil leak between Oil filter base and Oil pump. Can I remove oil filter base from oil pump. If so it there a gasket between the two along with the two orings. Any suggestions on how what I am getting into?

Two O'Rings seal the Oil Filter housing to the Engine.

is there a "how to" procedure to replace the o-ring gasket?

to be honest there aren't such an instruction because it's just removing the oil filter then using the correct size socket to remove the oil filter housing....wouldn't recommend doing this without a proper lifting rack....you will need room to properly install the two 0-rings witch will need to be seated properly in order to seal the oil leaks effectively....it's not hard.....just really annoying....not for in-patience peoples

thanks. Thats a bit more info than I had. I cant seem to get a socket on #37 (See link below) The frame is the the way. I tried a universal joint, open box wrench and cant get the socket on.

Do I need to remove the motor mount and lower the engine?
Is there a special tool i need to use?

They are diffucult to get to. The harmonic balancer is in the way of the bolts on 1996 Honda Accord V6. I have more money than time this time. LoL. Letting my mechanic make some money time.
