Default 1995 Accord fuse box issue?

1995 Accord, 2.2 Vtec, automatic. Basically, I'm having quite a few electrical issues: windows (all, even sun roof), clock, all gauges (tach, speedo, fuel, ect-all of 'em), all warning lights (except battery), shift lock (can't get outa park), rear window de-icer--none of these work. The vehicle starts/drives and shifts normally. This problem came from nowhere, while at a stop light.

Leading up to this issue I was having random problems with the speedo, but I think that is the VSS. Checking power at fuses and the like I find no power to the window fuses (which are hot at all times, yes?)

After all my testing and the like I still have no idea what could be the issue. I'd like to lean towards the fuse block itself. Using All-data and some other programs at work I've gotten quite a few wire diagrams...but I'm still perplexed. I imagine if I can trace one of the issues (i.e. the windows) I'd be able to solve them all...thus my reasoning that the fuse box (under hood) is bad.

And on a whim I replaced the ignition switch, still nothing~.

Hopefully someone here knows alot about the electricals on these cars and might suggest something to test.

Bump?

Tore apart the underhood fuse box today, didn't see anything really amiss.

I've noticed alot of views but no replies. That's not surprising considering my issue.

But, to you electrical guys: Let's try to fix one problem? Say the windows: what's the path of power? My diagrams make the path look like battery, underhood fuse box, underdash relay, then switch. Does that make sense? Usually power goes from battery, relay, fuse, switch.

Some clarity on this might help me out.

Thanks again folks.

Down the rabbit hole I go........

Start with testing the INPUTS to the power window relay located in the underhood fuse panel with Key On. EDIT: this is from a 2 door

Thanks alot Lost. I'll check those out after work tomorrow. Spent alotta time at work pouring over some diagrams for ground wire and noted that many of my problems share the same ground wire: the one under the center console. Took out the console today, but my good multimeter was still at the shop and I don't trust the one I've got at home.

But...that test seemed to say the ground was good. So I will be starting with your suggestion.

sounds like the underhood fuse box. have you checked the relays and fuses in it? sorry just had to ask.

i would check all the grounds just in case.

one under the the underhood fuse box. one on the drivers side of the upper intake manifold. one going from the valve cover to power steering bracket to drivers side mount. one from tranny to - battery terminal to frame. though the last two wont effect your issues

Personally, I'm concerned with the intergrated control unit......but testing will tell.....but if the #1 10amp underdash fuse is blown???...key to on and the oil light does not come on....hummmm, I'd double check it

Well, haven't checked any of the window stuff yet...buttt...

Recall that I said I was checking ground G404-located under the center console (really under the radio). Welp, went to drive the car today and found that I now lost my turn signals. Sooo, checked the fuse for them (Fuse 10: 10Amp, also for back up lights) and found that it was blown. Started the car and TADAA, all my problems were cured. However, when I activated the turn signal that fuse blew and all my problems came back.. as well as not having turn signals.

Mind you now, I've had working turn signals all during the time that I've been having my issue. The only thing that was done was I removed the ground wire G404 and reattached it..really no real repair.

My only guess is...well..too many that don't make any sense.

How about ya'll?

Well, hate to state the obvious but you've got a short.

Buy a bunch or fuses, or a 10 amp breaker

I'd remove all turn signal bulbs as a start, see what happens. Then either install the old bulbs or new ones one at a time...keep going until it trips.

EDIT: You stated the VSS was giving you issues. Fuse #1 also goes to that so add that to the list.
