Default 1994 Gauge cluster mileage adj. after speed sensor change?

I have a 1994 accord LX 5-speed that reads 102,000 miles. The speed sensor went out about 5 yrs ago and I have driven 10,000 miles a year, so it has around 152000 miles now. I was wondering if anyone could show me how to adjust the mileage or lead me to a place that can? thanks

Cant get it adjusted thats illegal, even if you are putting the correct mileage on.. prolly should just look for a new cluster with around the same miles.

Grossly Illegal and would get your a booking at the "House of Many Doors".
(It's a tough room.)
If you're the upstanding, honest Joe we'd all like to know, then add a disclosure notice when you sell it.
You've done your bit for God & Country and are a credit to motorheads everywhere.

I wouldn't state it is illegal. What state do you reside in? Here in Texas we have our titles branded exempt miles after the vehicle is ten years old. I have reset odometers before due to the fact that the speedo was not working or broken due to a stolen radio system where the thiefs tore up the entire dash to steal radio. When I purchased a used speedo I reset the miles to what it was before it was stolen or broken. I also would disclose to the buyer what I had done and put it in writting on the bill of sale to protect myself. Let me know if you want to send this speedo to me to reset.

There are places that you can send it out to, to be reset legally. It will cost you about $100 with shipping costs. There are a couple places here in Arizona that will do it and there are a few places in Caly that will do it.

My inferences were that it was illegal for the consumer modifying the milage.
Here in the State of Rouge Island, it is illegal to even repair a speedometer. The unit is to be replaced with a new unit and a state supplied label is attached to the door jamb attesting to the previous milage.
This was in direct response to everyone and their mother turning back 'clocks' on used cars years ago. This continued until several secretaries from the State's Attorney general's office were sold several of these 'gems'.
