FSM states to replace fuel fill cap with OEM gray or black cap and tighten at least 3 "clicks". If the cap is good you could have bad EVAP Bypass Solenoid.

Ok I will get a OEM cap.I looked under the car and found the smell
Coming from a black box took box a part there a canister with some
Tube which the tubes look to be ok but getting a smell from the canister
is the by pass solenoid in the same box

Got the p1456 fixed it turn out to be the vapor 2-way valve
I found that the part was warped on top which was leaking vapor took me about 15 minutes
To replace part no more gas smell .
