1999 Accord randomly cuts out
It's a '99 F23A1 5 speed. Sometimes after you start it, it will cut off, and other times while driving. When it does, it'll turn over fine, but won't start. You can repete it all you want but it won't start. If you let it sit about 10 minutes it'll start right up. It used to do it rarely, but lately it's been doing it a lot more. Ignition switch vs main relay vs ? There's no open recalls, but ignition switch is always a possibility

there is a safety recall on that model accord. call the dealership and have them look up your vin to see if the switch has been replaced already. it not then go down to the dealership. the ignition switch and installation is free since its a safety recall.

Brought it in to Honda, no open recalls. Decided to run a diag on it and see if they can find out what's wrong and so far they can't recreate it. Now, the service manager told me that during the life of these model cars, the main relay and ignition switch are more than likely to fail. I'm probably going to have the ignition switch done while it's there just because it's only $60 part and $75 labor, but I can do the relay myself (or at least inpsect it)

Re: (InvaderTrax)
I had the same problem, but I can't freakin remember what fixed it. Seemed like it would run fine, then I'd stop to get gas, and then it would start then immediately cut off, or just not start at all for 5-10 minutes... I'll let u know if I think of the fix.
