Starter and battery good, car only push starts
After my a couple of my friends finished a clutch replacement in my 95 accord, it won't start. My battery is good, and I had the starter tested at autozone and it is fine also. Jump starting didn't work, but push starting it did work. All electrical connections and ground wires have been checked and everything is hooked up with electricity flowing. So does anyone know of some type of safety system or something that's preventing the starter from cranking? Any help would be greatly appreciated, my car has been off the road for too long.

There was a thread with someone having the same issue not too long ago. I can't remember how that turned out, but you're essentially taking the starter out of the equation when push starting it so it can only be either the battery, starter, or starter ground. Try subbing stuff in and see if it fixes it.

The safety switch is a possible? Did you have to hold the clutch down to start the car before the new clutch? If so I'd start there. If not, look at your relay.

On a stick, that switch is on the pedal not the trans (inhibitor). So not in play IMO.
My guess, loose connection somewhere. Measure the voltage on the small wire at the starter while trying to start.
Of course the OP has not come back with anything?

Thank you everyone for the help, i really appreciate it. It turns out it was the starter even though it tested 100% good at autozone. After I gave up on trying to figure out the problem and paid a mechanic to diagnose the no start, he said he was sure it was the starter so i replaced it and sure enough my car started first try no problems.
