dist.cap and rotor
replacing dist cap and rotor anybody got any tips on how to do this.. how does this rotor thing work.. does the rotor go inside the shaft?? where does the rotor get power from?
when u turn the dist cap are u turning the shaft.. how doesignition timing work.. does it make it so that the car fires up late or early? if it fires up late it will just crank. if it fires up 2 early... than wouldnt the piston lose power.. wow this is confusing..

Re: dist.cap and rotor (accord2021)
so the dizzy shaft has a coil inside so when it spins it creates the sparks than it pass along to the rotor and the rotor spins it on the contact point of the cap?

You've got the general idea, but the coil on the F22B is external. An arc is created when the shaft passes each of the contact points, send electrical current to spark plug, causing it to spark.
