Default 02 accord power steering noise after replacment

This is about to annoy me to death. I bought a reman ps pump and replaced it by the book. Started making noise a day later. I am now on the 3rd power steering pump and still is noise. Anyone have a solution? I have bled it 5 times lock to lock with wheels off the ground. Changed fluid numerous times, and the rack and pinion is a year old . Thanks in advance!

Is it making a whining sound or a squeaking sound? If it's a squeaking sound it's likely the belt is just too loose.

there are several recalls on the O-ring that allows fluid to pass by them on factory conditions. had a similar issue. was whining, could hear it over the RPM's at one point. bought a new pump and did some research. it's pretty common. about 5 dollars from HONDA and one 10mm socket later i was fixed. might not be it but it was it for me. also the condition says you get lots of "whipping" and also fluid will pool out of the reservoir. hope this puts you in the right direction.

You could look at some of Scotty Kilmer's Youtube videos like "Fixing sticking power steering" and "Fixing noisy power steering on your car". Scotty advises always buying new for power steering pumps because of the immense pressure (1500 psi). Basically you add some Seafoam Transtune to the power steering fluid reservoir and drive it around or just turn the steering wheel ever few minutes for about a half an hour. Also, you could try adding some AT-205 re-seal to the fluid to try to stop leaks that may be causing it. But, you can pretty much only find AT-205 on Amazon.
