woody, do you think i could mount the fpr to the fuel rail and it not break? Im afraid of the shear size it breaking off mid run and spilling fuel on the alternator and fire.
Are you changing your setup also?

i think there would be a hood clearance issue with a usdm hood if mounted on rail.. and the aeromotive fpr is supposed to be firewall mounted due to vibration issues iirc. i chose to move my fpr to the firewall to clean up the bay a little... i really did like the location it was @ though.

How do you like the aeromotive as compared to the widely used AEM?

I have to complain on the aem as my fuel hits the return to fast on startup and the engine cranks longer to start than with the stocker on it.... ....With the stock regulator, even morning cold, starts right up.... the AEM cranks maybe 8-10 revolutions sometimes....

How can I slow the flow of the return?

the aeromotive holds 40 psi pressure for like 5 days w/o starting.. starts first crank no problem.. never used aem style..

damn, mine starts to bleed off IMMEDIATELY after turning the key....Its fine when running, the guage reads fine when the motor is running....but it loses pressure back down to zero in seconds when off or at accessory......

***** pic for pg one--

Anyone have some good ideas where to mount a pc680 battery? I cant mount it next to the tranny (hydro is too big) and cant mount it in the fender wells (intercooler piping). I had it in the cargo box but i kind want something a little more substantial.

back to the ol ZC...

I used to run a 50 shot for a couple years on the same motor and now its running a JRSC...
its been going strong now for about 10 years with plenty of abuse.

The only problem I ever had was when the dizzy went bad had to use one from a 1st gen teg and repin it. WHAT A PAIN IN THE ***! Figures I would find a write up on it a week after I did that.

bart..... you yourself said you never did an oil change. did you drop the motor in from japan on the old oil?

AEROMOTIVE: if you look at the firewall on your EF you'll see why i mounted mine there. its got the perfect mounting location.

thats where i was mounting mine. take the cargo box out and put some metal brackets on the underside. that way its not mounted to the plastic. its mounted to metal.

x2

Chemist mount the battery in the spare tire well. Its pretty accessable for jump starts there (at least more so than in the cargo box)

Gotta post a pic on page #1

Idk if its going to work there. The glove box is kinda weak and i know they break the locking mechanism easily. Good idea on the fpr, but i hope my victor X doesnt hit that

edit: might as well throw in a pic too for page one

What half size radiator did you guys recommend for a ef with no traction bar?

This will be for a B16 SC'd. My stock may have an issue after it is no longer bent.

Fullrace is pretty short, it will clear the hood.

Come on Joe. Who does some crazy **** like that? Not to mention they all came drained of oil. They both got Mobil 1 Tri Synthetic, like all my motors. Except my beater DD motors get Valvoline Max Life.
