Say for example my civic is worth $8500. The wouldbe car I wish to trade for is $6000. Would they actually trade straight across? Or would they simply say no. I'm curious.
My car has a bad 3rd gear syncro so selling it is going to be a pain.(Only grinds when you shift into from 4k5rpm or >
KBB on it is $8400 (immaculate condition except for the tranny) Would it be worth it to replace/repair the tranny and then try and sell it? I'm hoping to be able to sell it, use some extra money I have and pick up an 87-93 GT or a 96-98 Cobra.
My car has the typical ricer mods, which I'm afraid would destroy dealership value and also make it hard to sell. The Car is a 99 EX with 70k.
16" Gunmetal Wheels
Greddy Evo Exhaust
Alpine deck/infinity speakers
Damn, I just realized how unorganized that is. Sorry guys.
Anyways, what do you think? Would a dealership trade somewhat fair or rip me off. If they won't trade fair, then is it worth it to fix the tranny before selling it? or am I best off just selling it as is and letting the buyer know.
