Default Paint Fumes, what side effects?

I'm not asking what the side of the can says, I'm asking what you, personally, have encountered from *accidentally* inhaling paint fumes. Last night I was painting the front bumper on my rex in the garage. I have painted many vehicles before with spray paint, but always outside around my shop, never enclosed. My wife came home and made me open the garage door, she thought I was going to die... I'm glad I have a wife. Anyway, I woke up at about 2:30am with a migraine (I only get them a couple times a year) and the headache/nausea lasted till about 10am and I was able to get up and come into work. Anyway, anyone else get a bad headache from breathing too much paint fumes (not on purpose). Thanks.

Sure it was an accident. Maybe you should come out of that box and put some shoes on. I hear matching your shirt and socks while wearing sandals will give you a headache

Yeah, I'm wearing my Birks right now, but no socks... it's not winter, and yes it was accidentally, I have no need to get high off of anything... well, maybe going fast, but that's it.

A friend's dad died of brain cancer in his 40s. He had been painting cars for years without the proper ventalation and proper mask. He was one of those 'old school' guys who didn't think he needed that stuff. Always wear the proper face masking and make sure you have something filtering air if possible.

Here are a few I've experienced: vertigo, temporary loss of appetite, vomiting, increase in heart rate/BP, loss of memory, loss of muscle control, insomnia coupled with hypersomnia, etc...

It all went away in less than 24 hours though. Please use the proper breathing equipment and ventilation if necessary.

I guess I'm lucky to have gotten off with just a migraine! From now on I guess I'll just paint outside and in my extra car port like I normally do.
