lol. Having been part in at least 3,000 buy / sells of video games, you can't be over zealous either.

Think about it. You're selling $80 in video games. Then this guy blows up your phone "LET'S MEET ASAP!" 5 minutes later "You ready to meet?" etc. You probably start asking yourself, man, I must have something worth money here.

You easily miss out on deals by acting overly interested also. It's a fine line to walk.

Obviously you don't play it like that but you can easily arrange to meet up with the person without sounding like he has a pot of gold that he thinks is worthless. It's unfortunate that it happens sometimes but if someone said they'd give me 3,000 dollars for 80 dollars I'd sure as hell make sure it happened.

A friend linked me to this last night and I really want to see how it pans out. I've never seen one for sale publicly and I'd like to own it, but I'm not sure if I'll chase it. It's the Goldeneye Nintendo Power watch that you could have ordered from their catalog back in the day. I think it was posted on reddit (look at the page views already), so it's probably going to get ridiculous. Almost at $200 already.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Gol...item4d009ba92e

It'd go nicely with my sealed copy though.

Been there, done that. Sealed collecting is an aquired taste through time for most of us.

Obviously I have a playable copy Complete in Box of any game I'd ever want to play. Then for your favorites, you get them sealed / Mint also.

So believe me, I'm from the whole "Games are meant to be played" mentality as well. But once you finish your goals of getting all of the games you want in playable form, what's next? Stop collecting? Sealed is the next logical step for many people, as well as hard to find merchandise like the 007 watch I linked. I know of two 6' 007 Goldeneye Standees as well, but can't get anyone to sell me one

Sealed FF VII in Y-fold 85+ shape is about $2,000, 90 is about $4,000+ and above 90 is going to be $10,000+. Can probably find a "raw" copy that's nice for $1,000-$1,500.

I'm not sure if this link works, but witness the NES stock market phenomenon. When hype strikes on a title, it simply blows up.

http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_saca...mplete=1&rt=nc

Should be completed listings for "nes zombie nation". If it didn't work, try searching eBay for that.

This was a $50-$60 loose cart at the start of this year. Auction just broke $200, someone sold a BIN for $150 that lasted a couple of minutes max, and there's a live one above $200 on eBay right now. 400% increase in 4 months.

I sold two SEALED and MINT copies of Zombie Nation for $250 not even 6-8 months ago. Now I have people telling me they would have offered $800-$1000. Insane.

It's crazy, because you often have to convert part of your collection to cash to fund new purchases. Then you look back a couple of months later and think "WTF, that game doubled (or tripled, or quadrupled).

I don't follow Sega as much so I have no clue how values go. Make sure to ask if the case is cracked or damaged (hinges break easily on those), and if the disc is scratched.

You have sniping software or do it manually? I recommend the firefox plug-in "My ibay".

Yeah but 1) Shipping from Hong Kong and 2) That FF VII has damage. Maybe worth $300-$400 tops. Probably would grade VGA 80ish.

It is a drill hole copy, look top left. Those are promo copies usually tied to chains in stores, and grade poorly. Also looks like the case is cracked on the back.

Still has a shot at selling, but that auction is not a deal by any means.

Rare misprint version? I always noticed that letter was out of place, didn't know it was rare.

I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of all my FF games a few years back.

I still have all mine.. all black labels. Would never trade my FFVII or Tactics for any amount of money though.

I had all of them with black labels, and strategy guides as well. I sold them when I sold my PS2 figuring I had 100% completed them all and wouldn't want to play them again.

Yeah, I was wrong.

Not a video game, but a world auction record yesterday. $119.9 Million for "The Scream" original painting.

Just won a couple of things for my Saturn...

My Die Hard Arcade was missing the instruction manual...grabbed the manual plus two others for $5 + shipping. Some clown was offering the manual for $15 + shipping and wouldn't answer my PM's offering $10 shipped for it.

I have a disc-only copy of Shining Force III that I paid $35 + shipping for. Complete, the game has recently sold for $87, $65, $105, $95, $88, and $81.

I sniped a case & manual at the last second for $37+shipping. It was at $20 with 10 seconds to go...and it just barely cleared my $37.56 max bid. I probably overpaid for it but I'm sure I could turn around and make money on it.

Another copy of Burning Rangers popped up...already at $90

Shining Force was easily the best series for the Sega Saturn!

SF3 came in 3 episodes, but they only released the first one in the US (as SFIII).

I plan on playing through it one of these days, many people say it's the best game on the Saturn next to PGS.

Looking nice man! And a mini victory for me over the weekend. Remember how I mentioned that 007 Nintendo Power Promo watch that I wanted? Been looking for about 2 years now, and that auction I linked went for $312.88

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-SEGA...item416558f751

Fluke luck for two to appear so close to each other, but I was able to win it for $77 with only light scuffing on the surface:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280871487106...84.m1439.l2649

I think I bid like $160 so I was quite happy about that. Another neat oddball item to add in the collection.

Not to mention that, but where's the expansion? Everyone starts with a corner or a small shelf, then next thing you know, you have more games than you could play in 5 lifetimes.
