Got all the tile in this wknd, turned out pretty good...even for a guy who is overly critical of all things square. Busted the toilet putting in back in, and smoked my pos Skill electric drill mixing morter. Otherwise it went pretty smooth.

Walls will be painted a cream color, and the trim and vanity will be "white" when done.

should've moved the tile up a 1/4" to avoid that sliver at the top

2/10

Yeah, I'm not to happy with how that worked out! Because I ran the tile down each side of the shower, I had to start the tile level with the top of the surround or I would have ended up with a fucked up sliver at the bottom instead of the top, which means I would have had a sliver between the tiles on the surround and the tile running down each side. So it was either at the top of the wall, or half way down the wall.

My way works best...so suck it 8/10".

I meant tile spacers to get even grout widths.

I think I need my septic tank pumped (hopefully thats all it needs)

came home the other day to a shitty river going down the hill that seemed to only last a couple minutes (at least I know where the tank is now)

luckily the first place I called was also the last people to service it when they pumped it out and installed a new pump in 2012

What are you using? A nail file?

Have you tried pressure washing it first? If you're set on sanding I'd go rent the HD/Lowes sander for $100 and be done with it in an hour.

Also, this ******* clapped out house up the street is pending right now for $168k

Kitchen is from 1940. Purple carpet. Pink bathroom. Yard looks like ****. Everything is overgrown as fawk. Small lot sandwiched between two houses. Unfinished basement.

I think I bought my house at just the right time.

I still have to finish the ceiling and trim in the kitchen, remodel both bathrooms, drywall and carpet the basement, epoxy and paint the garage, and take down 4 big trees in the back yard...... So in like 5-6 years lol

Small house in my division just sold for the price I paid for my house. Checked out the listing, once I fix a few items, I'll put mine on the market and hopefully sell for more than I paid. I'm guessing 10-20k more due to patio, sweet garage, updated kitchen, ceiling fans in every room, new carpet and floors.

Haven't touched the basement but am tempted to throw some money at my friend to finish it to see if it'll bring in a few extra thousand.

Columbus real estate is definitely up this year. I sold my house in Jan for 170, paid 152 for it 2 years ago and put MAYBE $1k into it.

Anyone replaced a door handle and lock like this with a regular handle and dead bolt? I'm thinking it should be as easy as hole sawing the two holes to fit the new bigger locks, but they may be too close together.

Yeah man, their **** is crazy expensive but top notch quality. The Rotex sander is an absolute beast and their dust collection works unbelievably well.

So far, very impressed with Festool.
