Default Is mowing lawn in early morning hours okay?

Need everyone's thoughts on this, I have two small kids so my days of sleeping in are long past gone, and I'm usually up b/w 6 - 7 am possibly earlier ; Well I'm pretty busy during the week but like most people I try to get stuff done around the house on the weekend but is there a time where it is too early to mow b/c if I get up at 6 I'm rdy to attack the lawn 6:10 ; Is this too early for the neighbors sake or should I even care ..? Do early birds cranking up their mowers drive you crazy in the early morning hours?

How close (in proximity) are your neighbors?

It annoyed me when my neighbors used to do but it's not like they're doing anything wrong. There's nothing they can do about it really.

If you have nearby neighbors you deserve to be run over by your own self propelled mower you inconsiderate ***** bastard.

I don't mow before noon because of all of the dew on the grass, not because of my neighbors.

6am is really too early to be mowing your lawn. I'd wait till at least 9am unless you want to be shot.

it is pretty inconsiderate if you think maybe it is there only time to sleep in or you are waking their kids on the days they are trying to catch up on sleep. I would be mad if I lived next door to you... it wouldn't kill you to just walk next door and ask them what time would be ok with them as a neighborly action. Unless they have some unreqasonable response I don't see how that could be a bad way to go about finding your answer.

I live in a normal neighborhood w/ houses about 20-30 feet apart from each other, so any loud noise is usually heard b/w houses ; I'll keep it around 8am from now on...

i'd say 8am earliest if it's a weekday, 9 on weekends

There's getting woken up....

....and then there's getting woken up and not being able to go back to sleep because of a fvcking lawnmower 5-10 feet from you.

My gardener mows my lawn at 6:30AM and poor people like myself live about 10 feet away from the neighbors; I've never had any complaints.

Just tape flashlights all over your mower and mow at night.

like someone said above, ask your neighbors, for all you know maybe they leave for work at 5 or 6am and are already gone, so there's no one home to be bothered.

*Maybe* on a weekday, but not Saturday. Hell, even the trash guy waits until 7:30 to drive through.

my old land lord use to cut the grass at like 10 pm. He turned all the garden lights then cut the grass.
