Default lets talk micro pot belly pigs

Have any of you every had one as a pet? What were your experiences? Im debating on getting one, but I have no idea what to expect. I have two schnauzers(mini and a standardish size) and thinking about getting a giant or pig.

discuss

They're cute. And smart. But they can be a handful, and their agility sucks compared to a dog (don't underestimate how annoying that can be).

Theyre pretty cool little pigs, but they can be a handfull. Theyre stubborn and can be pretty mean. Thats the regular pot-bellied pig though. Ive never heard of a micro pot-belly. Keep in mind that they dont always stay small. My aunts weighed like 85lbs when it died and that thing was a douchebag lol

A lady in my neighborhood used to have one and it got loose all the time. Everyone in the neighborhood started feeding it and it eventually it got to where it would make rounds to everyones house to get some food. It also had a lot of dog friends, which was odd. It was always with some little chihuahua thing, and a lot of the times there would be two or three stray dogs running around with them. A local news station even came out and did a report on it lol

Heres some pics i took of him and his buddy one day when they came to the house begging for food. This was about a year after it first started coming around. At first it wasnt much bigger than the little ones you posted. I actually had to take these pics because people always thought i was full of **** when i told them about it lol

they are super smart. a doctor at work has one as a pet.
the squeel alot and the one they had nips at your feet to get your attention.
he said you have to be careful because they like to run around your feet so you gotta watch out you dont step on them.

the other doctor i work with was baby sitting it for a week lol he said he was glad to bring it back it was a handful

20lbs - 40lbs.

Ross, when you say annoying, how annoying are they?

My female mini schnauzer is probably smarter than most people i know. She knows how to get out of anything short of a 5 foot wall. she opens up the the lid to the trash can and takes out food. pretty annoying coming home to a trashed kitchen. lol

I use to have one just like the pic sCeRaXn posted. 50% cool and 50% a little bastard you wanted to turn into bacon haha.

I think the main issue stems from them being pretty damn smart but hard headed as hell. If that little **** didn't feel like going into his pen for the night then there wasn't a trick in the world that would fool him.

Crap, my female schnauzer already does that! she found ways to get out of my backyard and run all over the neighborhood. Shes not scared of cars and would run in front of them all the time. My male schnauzer is kind of a retard and just follows her. My neighbors know them well.

I had to pretty much barricade my backyard

A friend of mine has one. Pretty much the same thing as a dog, except it's a pig.

ugly little bastards, only thing a pig is good for is feeding humans to, or eating the pig itself
