Default I want an MDX - tell me which one.

I'm looking at 01-06s with varying mileages.

2002 with 54k miles = $13,000
2006 with 90k miles = $16,000
2003 with 105k miles = $10,000

Mileage versus Age dilemma.
Navi not important.
GO.

same gen i would just go with 02, or whichever has the best maintenance kept up. At least with the 54k you can make sure all the proper maintenance does get done.

Did the 02 MDX suffer from the weak V6 automatic transmission problem from 98-02?

I'd go with the post update model if possible. Is that 04 or 05?

2007 was the newest model with the 3.7 and 5x120 wheels.

They are wierdly WAY more expensive than similiar specs on a 2006.

or did you mean the subtle change from in 2004, with different tail lights an interior color options?

Yeah the subtle change. MMC or whatever we want to call it.

The 07+ is still pricey because it's a far better car and is still current.

If you can spend a little more, I'd wait till the new model comes out and makes the current one fall in price. It's worth the extra $ for sure. That's actually going to be my next car purchase.

I think the 01-03 only had black or tan interior choices, where the 04-06 has, black, grey, and two tone tan with black dash and steering wheel. And a few different wheel designs.

Its been hard in this area of Georgia to find a newer one with lower miles. Not a whole lot of need for 4wd down here.

I'd go with the one that most closely feels like an AWD minivan.

Wait, that would be all of them, I don't know what to tell you now.

I believe one of the Dodge Caravans (Voyager, Town & Country) comes with AWD and a much cheaper price tag.

Might make sense if you have a hookup for free engine and/or trans replacements.....

Not up to date on the differences between all three, but they're all very nice, I'm sure.

I'd go with A.

We got our '03 MDX Touring with 90k miles for 12k. It came with a gray interior. The 4WD isn't active until you put in a low gear (1-2) and lock the rear diff via a button the dash. To date, it has 112k and other than basic maintainence, all it needed replaced was tires and brake pads. Only other mentionable thing is the Nav disc reader took a wouldnt read the disc and needed to be repaired but other than that, it's done it's job as a family carrier wonderfully.

05+ only, but keep in mind they all have glass transmissions. they also suffer from over tightening valves with miles, and a failing EGR valves.

Kpro on an MDX, what would that do, exactly?

This is incorrect. The VSA/TCS system utilizes the rear differential when it determines it needs it. It can only be locked in under the conditions you state above and also in reverse.

As far as the transmissions they are not as bad as people like to say. Certainly not like the Accord, TL, and Odyssey. In my nine years at Honda we replaced a handful of pilot trannies and a couple of them were in cars that someone had thrown some super heavy 20"s on so I don't think those were all about the transmission.

As far as the EGR problems if you use a quality gasoline like Chevron or Shell not grocery store gas and remember to open it up getting onto the freeway once in a while you shouldn't see many problems in this area. Most of the V6 EGR problems were in cars that were driven like old people or with cheap gas.

Are 07+ moddable?

I've dreamed of an MDX w/suspension kit and some mild motor mods.

Soft roaders.

I think the '07 MDX Sport has an adjustable suspension.

What I really want is a '10+ w/Advance Package. Magnetic shocks & butt coolers FTW
