Default Do you highlight/select text when reading on the computer?

Just curious who else does this. Anytime I am reading something longer than a couple of sentences I usually always highlight the text to keep track of where I am at.

I guess it would be more helpful when presented with a screen door.

I do it sometimes, mostly when there are large texts. Example: the "meeting girls online horror stories" thread.

i don't do it to keep track of text....i do it completely randomly.

click...drag over a bunch of text. click again. click, drag to highlight 1/3 of the page. click...etc.

i'm sure it'd be really annoying if anyone was watching me compute. but it's an unbreakable habit for me now.

lol I actually do.

I do it when it's a long read and I'm at work. I'll start with the last word in the line and highlight the next line down. I don't even notice I do it anymore, just kind of a weird habit I have now.

Exactly this. But my keyboard has a laptop-like mouse on it, so it'd be a little more tedious to do constantly. But no, I can't see how it would be useful to me.
