Im not a powerlifting monster like you but Man my story is i was lifting and doing Jiu Jitsu for a few years solid. All of a sudden i started getting really stiff shoulders and joints from just always lifting and then having black belts trying to tap every ligament in my body in BJJ. Eventually the inflammation and scar tissue caused a bone spur and small rotator cuff tear. Had to get the surgery from the best sports ortho Dr around in my opinion. Im 8 months out of surgery , the first 3 months was all stretching motions,rehab. Then started doing light lifting again. Im probably only at like 80% if that, but i feel like ill be back in action better than ever i just cant do Jiujitsu anymore which is devastating but ide rather just hit the gym after work. I still have to do brutal warming / stretching and im easing my way back into things. Of course i can still deadlift and squat but being out of commission for so long took its toll for sure. I would say a shoulder injury is easily the most brutal injury after the ACL/ MCL meniscus. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SHOULDERS PEOPLE. MAKE SURE YOU WARM UP.

Been damn busy working on my IS and finishing up school, but with the semester coming to a close and no real clinical today I hit the weights earlier. Want sexy appearance for summer and more pop in my swing at my games. Only 2 out of the park homeruns be bullshit

My work has a gym, I'm in there 3-4 times a week breh...also play basketball 1-2 times a week

5'8" and like 180 lbs

my bench press form is all jacked, hurts the fk out of my shoulder

improving on squats doe (275lbs x3 PR so far)

I havent been to the gym, just getting alot of seat time on the dirtbike. Dabbed my foot really hard at the track on saturday, i might be out for a while

Why don't you look into professional help on how to bench. I'm not really surprised because most gym rats bench way too damn much and eventually end up jacking up their shoulders.

Are your shoulders rolled forward? Are the palm of your hands parallel with your legs, like having a overhand grip on the bar? If so you bench too damn much. You need to start hammering away at rowing exercises to bring your body back in alignment.

We all have some kind of muscular imbalance to a certain degree. It's not very uncommon but it's hardly ever discussed.

3x per week fully body routine for the last 2.5 years? Before that was 4x per week bro split for about 3 years. Don't know/care about what my max numbers are, more concerned with my cardio these days. Wont post my run times in fear of being criticized by Brice

True, and I also recommend Face Pulls. They really help with posture and can offset some of the musclar imbalances that come with too much bench pressing. I've also seen you recommend doing more incline that flat, and I tend to agree with this as well. I've spent more time on the 30 degree incline than flat bench recently, and it really has invigorated my push days.

I have a nice pinge in my right shoulder on the flat barbell bench. I have since switched to strictly DB flat pressing now.

Barbell incline and OHP still feel great, no pain at all....it's only on flat barbell.

I lift three times a week but need to really focus on a set routine along with muscle groups. lol, I'm all over the place. Not concerned about max lift or heavy weights or being ripped for that matter.

6'2 at 189.5 this morning, Im into more cardio, I just ran 4 miles in about 38 mins and some change.

this

DB flat bench feels fine, DB incline too....but regular flatbench...fck dat..my shoulders are screaming and i usually just work through the pain but i feel like it's getting worse'

also another difficulty i'm having...pull ups

I can do palm facing outwards (chin ups??) easily 10 reps x3 sets

but palm facing in,i feel like a bitch because i struggle after 5
