Default 1974 $20 Dollar Bill

So I got a twenty dollar bill from 1974 and I'm paranoid to use it since it has no water marks or anything looks legit, feels legit but really though a 20 dollar bill from 1974. Shouldn't it have been destroyed by now and it is still in decent shape just a lot of creases and folds in it. What should i do?!

yeah, it'll work. there's also other signs for them to look for but if I had to bet they'll simply take it from you and give you a newer one.

hell I took a couple of 5's that I accidently shredded and then pulled the pieces out and taped them back together. they looked at them and laughed a little and then gave me some fresh 5's.

Not really. $20 is what my dad spend on food on a trip to the supermarket to feed a family of four.

My last trip to Walmart cost $100 for food.

Go to BestBuy and use it. When the cashier doesn't want to accept it, tell her she has to. Most likely a co-worker who is watching will call the police. You might be hand cuffed to a pole for a few hours while the Secret Service comes to investigate. Once it is determined that you have legit money, sue BestBuy for $1M due to emotional trauma. Do it now.

I know right? It's a guaranteed thing that the Secret Service will come and find the bill to be legit. You can even have your wife/daughter out in the car waiting for you and they can video tape the whole thing.

Look traumatized for the camera...

Yea ok fine... with inflation its not worth the same 20$ that it was in 1974.

What I am saying is, this 20$ bill from 1974 is not special. Its still legal tender as a 20$ bill, so its value is 20$ at any store you will go into.
