Where to get small v-bands for dump tube
I'm having a hard time finding a generic vband clamp with the two flanges I can use on my 1.5" tube dump tube that's going to connect to my downpipe I just built.
So here's the down pipe
and now I'm using this 1.5" tubing you see in this pic with the flat 38 mm two bolt flanges you see in this same pic
The problem is space is so tight between radiator and down pipe etc. it would make more sense to find a v-band setup I could weld in so my dump tube is detachable from the down pipe with it instead of those larger two bolt flanges. Any ideas?
Thanks
Malcolm

Doesn't matter what waste gate I'm using (although it is a Tial). What I want is a flange and v-band set to make a joining in the tube to quick disconnect it from the down pipe. Something just like this set but in 1.5"

I found one, but it uses a low-heat seal that would make it useless for a wastegate application. Maybe it will lead you somewhere useful though: http://www.hivolume.com/en/select.ph...rket_part=7711

Unfortunately, it DOES matter, because it is not a universal size of any kind. ATP uses a lot of TiAL and therefore would be the best source to see if you can find one. I know they make adapters for the 2 bolt flange to MVS v-band. but to get just the v-band flanges themselves, you can get them from any TiAL dealer. The best one for that stuff is still ATP TURBO as of now.

Stainless Steel - 1.5" V-Band Clamp System
This high quality clamping system is perfect to make custom turbo wastegate piping and MORE!
Then just below that it says:
Features:
- Teflon o-ring seal good till 450°F (not appropriate for forced induction exhaust systems)

Most unfortunately weld straight into downpipe with a very smooth transition. OR, you could use a flared slip-fit from the dumptube to a small extension coming from the downpipe. I've done that before and it worked when I was recirculated a couple years ago.

I had thought about that but I was worried about after clamping that down how difficult it would be to separate them afterwards. Might be darn near impossible. Humm I may just try and make those large 2 bolt flanges I have now work.
