Default what injectors to use with 350-450whp?

right now i have a set of rc 550 cc's. I want to keep the injectors at about a 80% duty cycle. The motor is a b16 on a 57 trim turbo with forged internals. i want to make from 350 to 450 whp. I know i have to change the 550's so what size would be just right for this horsepower number?

thanx

curious on why? why not just get 1000's/96lbers and not worry about it

you know how boost is addictive

how your gonna run 6psi daily and make 450whp.. swap out the WG springs whenever? I doubt you will make 450 on 12psi.

Anyways.. 750's should do it, 780's is what im running.

750s are nice because its the biggest size you can get from RC thats saturated (OBD2) so you dont need to wire up a lame resistor box.

i forgot to add i have a turbo xs boost controller. Im not trying to make 450whp on 6 psi. 6 psi i should make like 220whp. on about 20 psi i should be pretty close to the 400whp range if not past it. High boost is only for track days. What power should i see with the 550cc's at 80% duty cycle? like 300whp?

ya thats what i thought that 750cc's would be just about right for my setup and horsepower goals. Now the question is what horsepower will the 550cc's make at 80% duty cycle? Im guessing around 300whp.

Ive personally seen 550s max out at 341whp at a low fuel pressure.. (base of 35psi). I think you could get 350 out of them safely.

I have maxed 440's out at 100% duty cycle at 317whp on a dyno jet. The last set of 750cc's I maxed at 100% was at 470whp. I don't recall working with too many 550cc set-ups... but I think at 80% duty cycle will net you around 340-360whp with stock fuel pressure.

Anyways, go with 750's as everyone else has already said.

Why not just get the 1000 cc's in case you end up building down the road? isn't the price difference pretty small?

because i want an 80% duty cycle to ensure that i have a really good spray patern. And if i do build another block later on it will be years down the road so theres no point in having the 1000's.

not trying to jack your thread and I can delete this if you like, but does anybody want to chime in on 1000's? would there be any problem running 1000's at 300-400whp? Would it really be beneficial to use 750's?

the spray pattern. At 80% the injector has a great spray patern. at 100% the spray pattern sux. and anything under 75% the spray pattern isnt so good either.
