Wastegate dumping? Is there any advantage...
Is there any advantage to making the dump tube comming off the wastegate go into the downpipe? Because right now I have a Tial 35MM wastegate that dumps into the atmosphere and I want to know if there are any gains to venting it back into the exhaust? Please help.

I have mine open and I like it that way. If basic turbo theory says that less exhaust backpressure equals more power then i say keep it open. here's some proof.

Went from smelly, noisy, messy open to closed last week and lost no power. As a matter of fact, I was still able to go from 173 to 206 HP after:
Going closed loop wastegate
Installing exh. resonator
Seems like there was something else...but anyways I was happy.
