Default Wanting to achieve 300whp on y8

Hey guys how is it going? So I know that if you boost a stock y8 you can get 220whp and be safe. But I want to go 300whp. So my question is this....would I be able to achieve my goal if I just redo my head? Like cams, valves, springs, cam gear, valve guides, studs, gasket? Or am I gunna have to replace the bearings in the block also? And this would be my DD. thanks you guys.

Not when your rods are the ones that are weakest that limit you to 220whp.. WHOOPs!!

So I will pretty much then have to redo the whole engine with pistons, rods, rebalance the crank with that to then. Would I have to get some sleeves in there to, or are the stock ones good enough? I'll be starting college soon and I want this to be like a project while I'm in school
