Help! What turbo should I use?!
Hey guys, im trying to figure out what turbo to go with on my new setup!
Here are the goods:
Sleeved GSR block
Stock B16A head with GSR cams
Victor X IM w/70mm TB
BWR full Ramhorn
Tial 44MM wastegate
3" exhaust(turbo back)
26x12x3.5 fmic
cp 9:1 81.5 mm pistons
87mm eagle rods
gsr crank
turbosmart manual boost controller
Now this is NOT a race car, yes it will go to the track on occasion but it will be a street car 98% of the time, I only went sleeved for insurance!
goal is to make 450-500 on 94 oct pump gas
Im not going over factory limiter so I dont want anything to big, i also dont want anything so small that ill be out of its efficiency range.. Ideally looking for something that is going to make 20psi around 5500 rpms but will achieve my hp goals.. If im forgetting anything just as far as parts or details let me know, thanks for all and any input!

Have you considered E85?
What ECU are you planning on running?
You'll want some more head work before achieving that.
Have you considered that is too much for the street? Because unless its always dry and you're on street radials, it is too much and you'll always be spinning.

Re: Help! What turbo should I use?!
Garrett GT3076R with a .82 a/r exhaust housing will be right up your alley.
Should begin spool at around 3500-3800. Full boost around 4500-4800ish.
BTW. Boost pressure level has nothing to do with spool time.
You did not state what fuel system components you are running, but i can speculate you WILL NOT make 500whp on pump gas.
Your injectors will need to be atleast 1000cc's and tuning will need to be spot on for power levels north of 400-450.

Re: Help! What turbo should I use?!
I want up to 500HP.. I would only ever use that much power at the track, and just run less boost on the street,
I am using ID 1000s, AEM rail, aeromotive fpr, walbro 255HF pump in tank.
As for management I am using S300...
also E85 is not available where I am, the plan is to keep it on 94 pump gas, If i have to ill get a water/meth inj setup
